Welcome to the 2026 swim team season!! 

The Bowman Woods Swim Team has an excellent reputation for providing both a fun and competitive experience for swimmers ages 6-18. Swim team is open to both members and non members of the BWSRC.

Cost: $125 per swimmer plus an online processing fee. This includes all coaching, meet entry fees, and a team T-shirt. 

Registration for Bowman Woods Barracuda swim team is available May 1st, 2026 for members and May 8th, 2026 for the public.

2026 Swim Season: Friday June 5th - Tuesday July 21st

All regular season meets will be on Tuesday evenings.  The All-City Meet will be on Saturday, July 18^th

Ages: 6-18 * There are no swimming requirements for the beginner level, only a desire to swim competitively

2026 BWSRC Swim Team Practice Schedule

6:45 am-7:45 am Advanced Practice - Advanced Swimmers Ages 11-18

7:45 am-8:45 am Intermediate Practice - Intermediate Swimmers Ages 9-14

8:45 am-9:30 am Beginner Practice - Beginner Swimmers Ages 6-12

All BWSRC Swimmers will learn/refine the four competitive strokes: Backstroke, Butterfly, Breaststroke, & Freestyle

Swimmers will also learn/refine starts off the starting blocks and how to finish a race.

Swimmers aged 11 & up will learn/refine turns.

 

*Swimmers may be asked to move to a different practice according to ability level.   

*There are no swimming requirements for the beginner level, only a desire to swim competitively.  

*Swim team is for swimmers ages 6-18. 

Advanced practice:  Will focus on conditioning and stroke refinement

Intermediate practice: Will focus on a combination of conditioning and stroke technique.

Beginner practice: Will focus on stroke technique, starts, finishes, and being competition ready.
